Join the NCMC e-mail discussion and news announcement lists!

The North Carolina Museums Council maintains several opt-in e-mail lists for your use. If you would like to keep in touch with happenings and events around the state from the NCMC, you can do so via the NCMC News Announcement e-mail list. OR you can receive or send e-mails to others who have chosen to opt in for either the general discussion/information e-mailings (ncmcdiscussion), or individual lists for the individual museum sections.

If you would like to join any of these, simply send an e-mail with YOUR e-mailing address in the text section of the e-mail AND let the webmaster know which list(s) you would like to join. Send your e-mail to webmaster@ncmuseums.org and, within a few days, you'll be on. Note that some of these lists, noted below, are used more often than others.

TO JOIN THE NCMC NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT LIST (periodic updates on events at museums across the state as well as alerts when the quarterly newsletter has been added to the website): Send your e-mail address to webmaster@ncmuseums.org. However, if you would prefer NOT to be on the e-mailing list and still see most of the news we issue, you can also check out our news blog site: http://ncmuseums.blogspot.com.

TO JOIN THE GENERAL NCMC DISCUSSION LIST: Send your e-mail address to webmaster@ncmuseums.org. To USE the list: address your e-mail to ncmcdiscussion@ncmuseums.org. This list should ONLY be used for business and announcements relevant to the North Carolina museums family. Anyone who misuses or spams using this address will be removed from the list.

TO JOIN THE NCMC SECTIONS DISCUSSION LIST(S): Individual lists exist for Art, Children, History and Science. Send your e-mail address to webmaster@ncmuseums.org and specify which section(s) you wish to join. To USE a list, address message to "artsection@ncmuseums.org," "childrensection@ncmuseums.org," "historysection@ncmuseums.org" or "sciencesection@ncmuseums.org." These lists should ONLY be used for business and announcements relevant to the North Carolina museums family. Anyone who misuses or spams using this address will be removed from the list.

PLEASE NOTE: EACH list noted above must be signed up individually -- signing on to a section list, for instance, does NOT sign you onto the general ncmc list, or the news announcement list. You can, if you wish, e-mail one time and note that you wish to be added, for example, to the news announcement, ncmc discussion AND science section lists.

If you would like to see the information included in our "newsannouncement" e-mails (sent about once a week) or check the latest newsletter but prefer NOT to be on our e-mailing list, you can check this website anytime for the latest newsletter -- and the various outgoing e-mails can be found at our blog, http://ncmuseums.blogspot.com.
