Come celebrate NCMC’s 60th Anniversary in Gastonia, NC! Don’t miss an incredible lineup of speakers, workshops, activities, networking and so much more. You will not want to miss this in person conference as a way to connect with museum professionals around the state. 

Please be aware of the different times to register for the 2023 Annual Conference. Registration for members will open January 14th - February 5th. You must be a member to register during this time. Members will get an email with a unique code for registration.  Then from February 6- March 12 registration will open to all at the regular price rate. Finally, you can register in our Late registration which will last until March 23rd. 

Full conference registration also includes a list of museum tours, activities and events happening Sunday March 26th. Many of these are free but space is limited, so be sure to select the events you plan to attend before they fill up. Click here to view the preliminary conference schedule. 

For the first time, we are offering pre-conference workshops. There will be three workshops to select from, or choose to attend all three. Rates follow the same calendar as above and will be available to members first. Capacity is limited and are first come first serve. If you plan to register for only the pre-conference workshops you will need to contact the conference administrator for the special code. Click here to learn more about the workshops being offered this year.

Member Registration  (January 14- February 5, 2023)

• $200 for Full Conference (Two days plus museum tours) 

• • $85 Students Rate for Full Conference 

• $100 Pre Conference Workshops (all three workshops; lunch included)

• • $65 Student Rate for Pre Conference Workshops

  • $40 for individual workshop rates 

Regular Registration (February 6- March 12, 2023)

• $225 for Full Conference (Two days plus museum tours)

• • $100 Students Rate for Full Conference 

• $100 Pre Conference Workshops (all three workshops; lunch included)

• • $80 Student Rate for Pre Conference Workshops

  • $55 for individual workshop rates

Late Registration (March 13 - March 23, 2023)

• $275 for Full Conference (Two days plus museum tours)

• • $125 Students Rate for Full Conference 

• $175 Pre Conference Workshops (all three workshops; lunch included)

• • $100 Student Rate for Pre Conference Workshops

Instructions for Institutional Members

Did you know that institutional members (Tier II and up) can have multiple staff members associated with their account?  When registering for the conference, this will help to streamline your registration process and your staff can register at the member rate.  Need to add staff members to your account?  Your primary contact will need to login and do the following:

• Login to your member account
• Select your profile name in the top right corner of the page
• Scroll down to "Bundle Summary"
• Select "Add Member" Enter their information

Cancellation Policy

A $20 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations. All cancellation requests must be made in writing by e-mail to conference.admin@ncmuseums.org.

Cancellation requests received before March 12, 2023 will receive a 100% refund on registration and event fees, minus the processing fee. After March 12, 2023, refunds will be given on a case by case basis.

Registrants who are no longer able to attend the meeting may request a substitute to attend in their stead by submitting their request in writing via email to  conference.admin@ncmuseums.org. The substitute must be from the same organization. Once the request has been received, the original registration rate and any event tickets purchased will transfer to the new attendee.
