Historic Carson House (HCH) in Marion, NC, is looking to hire its next Executive Director. HCH owns and operates the Carson House Museum and Jubilee Arbor event space. A new 3,000 sq. ft. visitor center will open this summer. The Executive Director has wide-ranging responsibilities including working with the Board, supervising staff and volunteers, developing educational programs, community outreach, fundraising, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the museum. The museum is open April through November and the work schedule varies accordingly, 40 hours a week for nine months and 10 hours a week for three months, totaling approximately 1560 hours annually. The salary range is $40,000 - $48,000. Management experience is a must, nonprofit or museum experience a plus.
