NC Disaster Relief Grant

Working together, the North Carolina Preservation Consortium (NCPC) and the North Carolina Museum Council (NCMC) are accepting grant applications for the Disaster Relief Grant program. These grants support member organizations who are affected by state or federally declared disasters within North Carolina.

Applicants must be a member of either NCMC or NCPC and meet the following requirements:

  • Have legal custody of the collections that are the focus of the grant application.
  • Have at least one member of the organization assigned the responsibility for overseeing the implementation and completion of the project for which grant funds are requested.
  • Apply within 3 years of having been impacted by a declared natural disaster.
  • If awarded a grant, applicants agree to submit a short news article to be shared with NCMC and NCPC for publication. The article should be approximately 500-800 words with one photograph.

Applications and supporting materials are accepted on a rolling basis. Grants will be awarded until the allocated funds are spent for this fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

For complete application information including how to apply, please see the NCPC hosted Disaster Relief Grant website.
