Based in downtown Raleigh, the Historic Sites Assistant Director plays an integral role in interpretating and preserving multiple historic sites. Whether developing education programs, creating new special events, planning a summer camp program, working with the community and volunteers, or researching exhibits, the Historic Sites Assistant Director will play a key role in telling the story of Raleigh to the over 50,000 visitors who frequent one of our sites each year. The Historic Sites Assistant Director is a professional, supervisory position that directs the public programs for HRM sites including Mordecai Historic Park, Borden Building, Tucker House, Latta University Historic Park, and the Raleigh Trolleys. This position will supervise paid part-time staff as well as volunteer personnel. This position will be responsible for decisions related to all programs at the sites. Position requires high level of customer service to both external and internal customers. The position will have some responsibility across all HRM sites and programs and will report to the HRM Historic Sites Director.

Salary Range: 54,900-85,100
