This year’s Annual Meeting theme, Hidden Treasures: The Unseen Work & Opportunities Within Museums, invites attendees to look behind the scenes and celebrate the essential work that is often overlooked yet vital to the success and impact of museums. From collections care, programming, and governance to development, partnerships, and beyond, this year's conference will highlight the people, practices, and possibilities that make museums cultural treasures.

This conference is ideal for museum professionals, educators, curators, designers, community organizers, and anyone invested in the future of cultural institutions. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the field, you’ll leave with valuable insights, tools, and inspiration to enhance your work.

Please be aware of the different times to register for the 2026 Annual Conference. Registration for members only will open January 12 - February 25, 2025. You must be a member to register during this time.

Full conference registration also includes museum tours, activities and events happening Saturday, April 11 - Sunday, April 12. Many of these are free but space is limited, so be sure to select the events you plan to attend before they fill up. All professional development lectures, round tables, poster sessions, and panels are happening Monday, April 13.

Greenville, North Carolina is rich in history and lore: from art and culture to legendary tales of pirates and sunken gold! This year we encourage participants to uncover both literal and figurative treasures within their institutions and find engaging ways to share those gems with the world.
